Now in its third year, the Los Angeles Fashion Awards has become LA’s signature annual fashion industry event. By illuminating the best in California fashion, the world is put on notice that LA is not just an entertainment capital, but also a true fashion capital.

This annual awards and honors program, multimedia portfolio, and runway stage production spotlights individual talents for public recognition and provides a benchmark of achievement for others.

LA FASHION AWARDS, LLC, was established in 2005 to celebrate and honor the emerging talent, rising stars and leading brands of California fashion. Few people realize that LA is home to the largest fashion district in the USA and an apparel manufacturing industry that employs more people than New York’s. The goal of the LA Fashion Awards is to increase awareness of LA as the global fashion center that contributes the greatest influence on contemporary style around the world.

Moss Adams, LLP, the largest accounting firm headquartered on the West Coast and creator of the Moss Adams Fashion Innovator Award in 2003, is the founding sponsor of the LA Fashion Awards. The organization was founded by Jennifer Üner and Mary Hill and is endorsed by the California Fashion Association, Fashion Business Incorporated, Fashion Group International of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation, among others. It is supported by an extensive network of participating sponsors, industry professionals, volunteers and fans who ensure the program’s success.

In 2006, the LA Fashion Awards established a cultural exchange program with the Scottish Fashion Awards premiere event. By exchanging ideas and facilitating a network across the globe, the award partners hope to offer a new generation of fashion talent an opportunity to experience fashion, seek out buyers and explore innovative manufacturing techniques that both territories can exploit.
