LA Fashion Awards

In recognition of those that have significantly impacted the national and international fashion marketplace in the last twelve months and enhanced the identity of LA fashion, awards are presented in the following categories:

MAFI (Moss Adams Fashion Innovator) Award
Innovator; trailblazer; groundbreaker. This award, for an apparel designer (or team), is given to the company that best exemplifies the innovation of California fashion through unique and compelling design, production, and presentation. Winner receives consulting services with Moss Adams, LLP, and membership benefits from Fashion Business Incorporated.

Wells Fargo Century Fashion Achievement Award
Achievement is not earned lightly or briefly. This award is for the sustained success and accomplishment attained by an apparel brand through fashion leadership, retail distribution, consumer adoption, and media recognition.

Supima Denim Designer of the Year Award
Denim is the fabric of choice for the contemporary lifestyle and Los Angeles is its global headquarters. This award recognizes the denim designer or brand with the most impressive and consistent pursuit of excellence in design and production.

Marketing Excellence Award
Good marketing may be defined by artistic execution, creative use of media outreach channels, or a gain in sales. Excellent marketing combines elements of all three. This award is for the most innovative or compelling advertising campaign or marketing activity by a fashion-related firm.

Fashion Retailer Award
This award is for a Los Angeles fashion retailer that exhibits innovations in merchandising approach and/or the most sustained fashionable reputation. Either way, this retailer maintains a loyal fashion following and contributes significantly to the fabric of Los Angeles.

Fashion Communication Award
Communication: "The exchange of thoughts, messages, or information, as by speech, signals, writing or behavior." (Source: American Heritage Dictionary.) Whether the transmission is via print, tv, film, or video, this award is for an individual or company that enhances and propels the business of LA fasion and style.

Inspiration Award
This award is a special honor for an individual or group outside or adjacent to the fashion industry who lent particular vision, inspiration, or support to the industry.
